This course will be required for all registrants (pharmacists and pharmacy technicians) who are employed in a pharmacy dispensing OAT according to the College's updated Professional Practice Policy-66: Opioid Agonist Treatment (effective on January 1, 2019). Furthermore, the College of Pharmacists of BC Professional Practice Policy-66 requires that all registrants who are employed in a pharmacy dispensing OAT, must have completed this training by September 30, 2021.
For pharmacists, the course includes an online self-study component that must be completed before attending live virtual workshop. Pharmacy technicians only need to complete the online component.
