The BCPhA first launched the Student Ambassador Program in 2011, to provide a channel of communication between students at UBC’s faculty of pharmaceutical sciences and the Association. Since then, the program has grown in prestige, with dozens of applicants now vying yearly for an Ambassador role.
The BCPhA Student Ambassadors are pharmacy student leaders with an interest in bridging the needs of BCPhA Student members and their professional association. The Student Ambassadors are committed to the development of future leaders within the pharmacy profession in British Columbia.
There are over 500 student members of the BCPhA, and a large focus for the year ahead is connecting with these future pharmacists - as well as recent graduates - to increase engagement and learn what this demographic expects from their professional association today and in the future.
