The Importance of Supporting Insulin Injection Technique - From Theory to Practice

When:
April 24, 2025 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Where:
Zoom – Virtual Delivery, Vancouver BC

This webinar is designed to equip pharmacy teams with the knowledge and practical tools to confidently support patients throughout their journey with insulin therapy. With the growing complexity of diabetes care, pharmacists and their support teams are vital in identifying suboptimal injection techniques and providing proactive, structured support that can improve clinical outcomes.

Led by clinical community pharmacist Cindy Chen, this session explores how pharmacists, technicians, and assistants can work together to optimize workflow, improve patient counselling, and integrate best practices for injection technique into everyday care. Participants will walk through a real-world case study and learn how to apply practical tools, such as FIT recommendations, to identify red flags and support behavioural change in patients.

Join us to gain confidence in providing personalized, consistent care for patients using insulin therapy. This session is ideal for pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy students who want to take ownership of the patient journey and enhance outcomes through structured, evidence-based support in the community pharmacy setting.
