On April 11, 2025, the Competition Bureau of Canada announced that it was launching an investigation into Express Scripts Canada for alleged anti-competitive practices.
The BC Pharmacy Association has been working with the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) for more than a year around concerns of Express Scripts actions.
The Competition Bureau’s investigation is a direct result of the CPhA’s complaint made in February 2024. Both the BCPhA and the CPhA are incredibly pleased with the news.
The Association will keep working to support this investigation when needed, and we will keep members informed as information becomes available.
