A Village Around Every Family: Cultural Safety in Systems
This Keynote from the Village Workshop Series© is a celebration of the resilience that has sustained us as Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. We will deepen our understanding regarding the decolonization of our organizations and learn about how we can increase cultural safety for families who have Indigenous ancestry. From this learning comes an increased understanding of respectful ways of engaging and working collaboratively in order to build more culturally safe systems.
Kathi Camilleri (Spotted Doe) is of Metis/Cree/Ojibwa Ancestry. She holds a master's degree in leadership studies and Certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She has done this work for 29 years. Kathi and her husband Chris have a blended family with six boys and one (brave, tough) girl. Kathi can be reached at 250.287.0150 or by email cckc@telus.net.

What It Really Takes to Achieve Sustainable Success: the Winning Traits of a Continues Champion
In both sports and business, talent and strategy are never enough. It’s mindset and decisions based on that mindset of each individual that determines not just what, but how well things will get done. Having played on multiple Championship teams, Angus Reid knows what it takes to not just win, but to be elite. To win again and again and again. These traits were taught, modeled, coached, and reinforced to him by a mentor that not only changed his career, but changed his life.
- Through high energy story telling, Angus will make very clear,
- The one question that matters most
- What Character really is
- Knowing the difference between what you like to do and what is needed
- The two biggest differentiators between people with talent and people that achieve sustained success
